Cut out crop top – free pattern crochet summer wear

By June 30, 2019 One Comment

What are you calling this latest women’s garment design you ask? Im at a loss for ideas, the hyper cut crop top, the hyper crop, the warm shoulders top, cut out? Is it even a top or more of an accessory? I don’t know, all I know is that it looks really amazing with a jumpsuit or romper! Imagine this baby over a tube top or spagetti strap dress?

Call it whatever you want, but you should totally make one!

This is actually a very simple pattern to work through, if you’ve made a top down crochet sweater, you’ll have absolutely no problem here. Its basically an unfinished top-down sweater with sleeves added.

What yarn is that?

The best part? This one is super quick to work up and only requires 2-3 balls of Lion Brand’s Beautiful you Yarn. I know you have at least 2 balls of yarn lying around because who didn’t buy a bunch in every color when it Lion Brand released it earlier this year? I love love love this yarn! And you will too if you haven’t yet tried it.

Beautiful you is a wonderful yarn for crochet especially. It’s light weight machine washable acrylic. It has lots of bounce and elasticity which is perfect for garments! You can choose from in 16 beautiful and trendy colors. Since its a #2 fine weight yarn, it really works well with the lacy pattern of this top. If you haven’t tried Beautiful you, the best way to describe it is that its just like ZZ-twist but thinner and lighter.
